Arnold Schwarzenegger had a near-fatal accident on set during the horse riding scene, when his horse got startled and ran out of control. Schwarzenegger managed to slide off the horse, but did this near a 30-foot drop-off. His personal stunt man saw what happened and was able to grab him before he went over the ledge.

Trivia: The place where Jamie Lee Curtis meets Bill Paxton is the same place where the T-1000 arrives in Terminator 2. Coincidently, another movie Arnold was in and James Cameron directed. Trivia: The sequence on the bridge toward the end was actually filmed in the Florida Keys on Seven Mile Bridge.

Trivia: The shots of Jamie Leigh Curtis hanging beneath the helicopter were pick up shots - it was mostly stuntwoman Donna Keegan. Cameron wanted an actual shot of Jamie Leigh Curtis - she had to be convinced to do her own stunt for it, with Cameron offering to hang out of the helicopter with the camera to get the shot.

True Lies (1994) - This was the first film that James Cameron made as part of an unprecedented $500 million deal between 20th Century Fox and his production company Lightstorm Entertainment. In essence, Fox allowed him full artistic control over twelve projects made under the deal, as long as the budget per film would not exceed $75 million.
